The Best Musical Marketing Stunts (Part 2)
A few months ago we showed you some of the most clever marketing campaigns that use the power of music to connect brands with the audience. Today we take a look at some more exciting marketing stunts, this time with musical shoes, an ultra-modern orchestra and a really special organ.
Intelligent Music by Intel
The American technology company Intel wanted to show how its processor improved their tablets’ performance and for that purpose they came up with “Intelligent Sounds.” This concept was created by Sydney-based agency The Monkeys and production company Finch. By using several robots and 60 tablets, they managed to create a futuristic orchestra that performed an original track from music producer Flume. You can check out the result on the video below:
Megalizer by Adidas
Adidas took their campaign a step further to promote their MEGA collection. Didier Brun teamed with SID LEE Paris to create the Adidas Megalizer musical dance sneakers. With the MEGA shoes you could produce music just by moving your feet. Each shoe had two Force Sensitive Resistors that are wirelessly transmitted with an XBee. Each pressure-sensitive tap of the toe or heel could be customized to emit a specific sound.
May the Music Be With You by Lego
To promote the release of Star Wars Episode 3D in Germany, Serviceplan Munich and Lego collaborated to engage more closely with fans who went to see the film. This gigantic street organ consisted of 20,000 LEGO Star Wars bricks, positioned in a way that they played the Star Wars theme song when the crank was turned – while at the same time showcasing the sets of the film they wanted to promote.
